THE SECRET IS OUT!
Compass Equine is a new adventure for me, one that has been long in the making. After years of waiting for the timing to be right, (by the way, timing is never right, so just jump) I am finally stepping into this rewarding new chapter.
Becoming a certified facilitator for Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) programs brings my passion full circle and allows me to contribute to the wellbeing and growth of others while doing what I love most - partnering with my horses.
I am eager to share the teachings that horses communicate to us with those seeking to make positive changes on their personal journey.
Living my BEST life with this new chapter
What makes partnering with horses so special is the trust and respect they give. These magnificent creatures have taught me valuable lessons, shaping me into a better human being. Their ability to connect and teach is truly humbling, and I’ve embraced their wisdom to grow personally.
At the heart of Compass Equine are my two beautiful mares, Grace and Phoenix. Together, they offer an experience that will leave every individual who interacts with them enriched with new valuable skills for their own life journey.
From the day these beautiful horses came to live with me; I have been blessed with the teachings they unknowingly provide. As I interact with them, the more I learn about myself. I know that they look to me not just for food (I probably look like a giant feed bag to them) but for safety and leadership. They have helped me step into the role of respected leader with confidence, patience and trust.
Understanding how powerful it can be to partner with a horse and grow untapped self awareness, has led me to launch Compass Equine. My goal is to help others recognize the leader within themselves by working with these horses and proven programs that are fun, challenging and effective.
I believe that whatever you do - make it fun and memorable. And if you smell like horse at the end of the day - then its been a GOOD day.
Grace - Teacher of Trust
Originally rescued by SPCA, Grace is a delicate flower who requires constant monitoring due to her health issues. Gaining her trust can be challenging, but once achieved, she offers a heartwarming connection.
Phoenix - Teacher of Communication
Phoenix, from Dare to Dream Rescue, demands strong leadership and clear communication. She is an open book, eager to respond to patient guidance. Being successful with Phoenix is a huge confidence builder to all participants.
Lloyd - Barn Manager
Lloyd, a true outdoorsmen and jack of most trades, found himself working with horses when 2 rescue mares came into his life about 16 years ago. He’s known for spoiling the horses and enjoys chatting with them while tending his garden.
Aunt Doreen - Kitchen Manager
Aunt Doreen oversees our food and snack needs with exceptional standards, infusing her spunk and humor into every meal. Her culinary skills elevate our workshops to new heights.
I believe every interaction with my horses will reward you with new insight to yourself. By participating in programs with proven positive results - you too can experience the transformational power of the horse.
